Ethiopia has a variety of scenery from the peak of Ras Dashen (4562 meters) to the Danakil Depression (110 mts below sea level), tropical rain forest, savanna and Deserts. The unique alpine fauna flora of the Semien and Bale Mountains are Home to different endemic mammals and birds.
People
Ethiopia is a land of enormous ethnic diversity, with people of Semetic, Hamitic, Nilotic and Omotic stock. There are more than 78 ethnic groups as many languages.

Religion
Christians Muslims make up approximately about 80% of the total population Altogether & the remaining 20% is animists and others.
 
History

Ethiopia is a country where the oldest human remains has ever discovered, the 4.4 Million years old bones of Ardipithecus ramidus afarensis(in 1994) and the 3.4 million years of “LUCY” –OR- Australopithecus afarensis (1974).Ethiopia has extensive historic sites, in the north, including the steale and tombs Of the Axumite kings, the 13th century monolithic rock hewn churches of King   Lalibela, the 17th century castles of Gonder, the monastery of Lake Tana and   The rock hewn churches of Tigray. In the east, the 1000 years old city of Harar   With its 99 mosques is the fourth holiest place in Islam World next to Meca,   Medina and Jerusalem.

In the southern part, the 1.8 million years old archeological site of Melka Kunture, Tiya standing stones, the rock hewn church of Adadi Mariam, the 400 stale at Tutu Fella (some 375 kms south of the capital) and to the west, the medieval palace of Abba Jiffar, the last independent Oromo king, are one of the most historical sites in this Region of Africa
 
Birds Life and Mamals

The Walia Ibex, Ethiopian Wolf, Gelada Baboon, Mountain Nyala, Menelik’s Bushbuck & Swayne’s Hartebeest are one of the Ethiopian endemics that can be seen in the Semien, Bale & Nech sar National Parks, respectively. 

There are over 870 bird species are occurring in Ethiopia. Of these, about 30 endemic birds are restricted to this part of Africa. The Abyssinian Wood pecker, Thick billed Raven, Abyssinian Cat bird, Harwood’s Francolin, Banded Barbet & Rouget's Rail are one of the Ethiopian – highland- endemic birds
